Einige sehen es als Ablenkung und Zeitverschwendung, andere als Inspiration und Chance. Man tut, was man eben tun muss und plötzlich sieht man etwas in einem Raum, den man in- und auswendig kennt. Man starrt gebannt hin und ist sich für einen kurzen Moment nicht sicher, ob es nicht doch ein fremder Raum ist. Nein, man sitzt noch immer im altbekannten Raum, nur ist für einen Bruchteil einer Sekunde der hirninterne Filter für die Informationsflut unseres Augenapparates ausgestiegen und hat es uns ermöglicht, etwas zu sehen, was wir zuvor nicht bewusst wahrgenommen haben.

In doing what you have to do you suddenly see something in a room you know inside out. You gaze and for a brief moment you aren't sure, if it isn't an unfamiliar room. No, you are still in the same well-known room. However, for a split second your brain-internal filter for all the information your eyes constantly receives has stopped working and enabled you to see something you have never apperceived.
